Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER)

PACER    The Federal Court System has introduced a new service and technology to provide easier and better access to court information by allowing inquiries to a “real time” copy of the court’s entire bankruptcy database. You can search by name or case number and have the docket information transmitted by computer ready to be printed in your office. PACER is available at all times.

WHAT YOU NEED    To access PACER you will need a computer, access to the Internet, and a valid PACER login and password. The present version of PACER was developed for NETSCAPE 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x and above. However, other browsers may also be functional.

REGISTRATION    In order to obtain a PACER login and password as well as detailed instructions on PACER, complete a PACER REGISTRATION FORM. A PACER REGISTRATION FORM may be submitted on-line, by FAX or U.S. mail to:

COST    PACER registered agencies and individuals will be assessed an access fee of $.08 per page commencing January 1, 2005, defined as 56 lines. You are informed of the access fee before being charged.
