Have you signed up for Pay.Gov? If the answer is yes, then check and
make sure that your pop up blocker is turned off. Also, make sure
that you leave the “receipt field blank.” If the answer is no, then
go to the Court’s internet web-site and fill out the Internet Credit
Card Payment/Pay.Gov Request Form and return it to this office.

It depends upon how busy the Systems Section is and when they
receive your request. You may call that department at 504-589-7878
to check on the status.

Yes, once you have indicated “o” in the receipt field you must
either mail in your payment or come into the office.
I indicated that I wanted to use Pay.Gov and have now changed my
mind. Do I still have to use my credit card?

No, you may still use another form of payment. However, please let
the cashier know that you are changing the form of payment. If you
neglect to do this, you will continue to receive email notices that
the payment has not been made and you could be locked out of CM/ECF.
Why
am I locked out of CM/ECF. How can I regain access?

You are locked out of CM/ECF because by leaving the “receipt field”
blank, you indicated payment by Pay.gov but failed to pay through
Pay.gov within the 48 hours of filing your pleading. In order to
regain access, check to ensure that your pop up blocker is turned
off. Then click on Utilities; Click on “internet fees due” and then
enter your credit card information. Once this is completed, exit
CM/ECF, once you log back into the system the lock should be
unlocked and you should have normal access to the program.

To request a refund for an overpayment of fees, you need to file a
Motion and Order for Refund of Fees Paid, list the case number,
date, receipt number, etc. for the overpayment.

with a credit card over the telephone?

No, we do not accept credit card payments over the telephone.
