We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Derbes as the new Chief Deputy Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, effective July 5, 2022.   Mr. Derbes has been a co-managing member of The Derbes Law Firm since 1995, with experience in Chapters 7, 11, and 13, as well as bankruptcy appeals.   Prior to his experience in private practice, Mr. Derbes was a Captain with the U. S. Army Judge Advocate Corp for four years.   He has a Juris Doctor from the Marquette University School of Law and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington University.
