A mailing matrix is a list of names and addresses of creditors and parties in interest. The names and addresses are added to the case data and are used for notices.
- The mailing matrix can have any name but must be uploaded in a text format (.txt, ACSII DOS Text, .scn)
- The mailing matrix must be left justified in a single column down the left edge of the page.
- Each creditor entry must be single-spaced.
- There must be a double-space between each creditor address.
- Each creditor entry must contain the creitors name and complete address.
- Each creditor entry must not exceed 5 lines.
- Do not include account numbers or dollar amounts in the addresses.
- The city, state and zip code must all appear together on the final line of each creditor's address. (Include a comma between city and state; state must appear in a two letter, capitalized format)
- Do not include the address for the debtor or debtor’s attorney in the mailing matrix.
- Do not include any taxing authorities unless monies are owed. The information is mailed separately by the court.
To upload the mailing matrix in CM/ECF, select: Bankruptcy, then Creditor Maintenance.., and then Upload list of creditors file.
