Effective September 1, 2025, the Louisiana Eastern Bankruptcy Court will no longer accept filings such as tax returns, pay advices, bank statements, and images of Social Security cards or identification cards (e.g. drivers licenses) containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII). These documents, often required by the Chapter 13 Trustee, must be submitted directly to the Trustee through a secure portal: https://bkdocs.us/account-register.html . Everyone is encouraged to begin using the portal this week in order to become familiar with the new system, before it is required on September 1, 2025.

Beginning September 1, 2025, filings of this nature will be removed from the record.
